This is a historic day, friends.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were just sworn in as president and vice president.

There is no better antidote to the unstable and challenging past four years than Joe and Kamala. They are already working hard to build back better -- with a sweeping agenda to address the crises of our country -- including the pandemic that has devastated our communities and economy. We will finally have a partner in the Oval Office working to uphold our values.

Friends, the bedrock of our democracy is the peaceful and orderly transition of power. It has unified even the most bitter foes. While the bedrock of our democracy was shaken from the attack on the Capitol earlier this month, it has prevailed. That is a testament to the strength and resilience of the American people. I am honored to bear witness to this moment.

Today, we begin to recapture the soul of this nation. As Joe and Kamala seek to repair the wounds that our democracy has suffered, they are going to need all of us. Add your voice and share what you hope we can accomplish together.
