JOIN MCN'S BOARD CHAIR AT NATIONAL PRAYER SERVICE, MCN SUMMIT, AND MORE!

MCN is proud to announce that our Board Chair, Dr. Debbie Almontaser will be delivering a prayer at the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Service! She is the first Muslim-American woman to be invited to deliver a prayer at a presidential inauguration service. As a Yemeni-American, this is particularly significant as it comes on the eve of the Biden administration retracting the Muslim Ban that has adversely impacted so many families in the past four years. In the spirit of the incredible Muslim women who are moving and shaking things up, on Wednesday, January 27th, the Muslim Women's Civic Empowerment Forum will be hosting our second event with Dr. Sarah Sayeed, Commissioner of NYC's Civic Engagement Commission.  

Last year, we were in the throes of planning a national gathering of leading voices in the Muslim-American space. However, due to COVID-19, our plans stalled. We're excited to announce that our Summit is back on during this new year, and in a new virtual format. The date is fastly approaching on Wednesday, Feb, 10th, 2021.
