Tell your DC councilmembers to protect kids and stop flavored tobacco >>

John,

Great news: The DC Council is again considering legislation to end the sale of all flavored tobacco products. Let's make sure councilmembers know their constituents support it!

The tobacco industry is hooking DC kids with flavored products every day. Unbelievably, nearly one in four high school students nationwide are using tobacco products.

Some members of the Council tried to pass legislation to address this last year. But time ran out. Undaunted, Councilmember Mary Cheh reintroduced this legislation last week, along with eight other councilmembers. And now...

The Council is expected to vote on it soon!

Send a message to your DC Councilmembers asking them to end the sale of all flavored tobacco products in the District.

This includes flavored e-cigarettes, which are fueling a new youth nicotine addiction crisis – and menthol cigarettes, which the tobacco industry has used to target Black youth for decades.

We can't wait any longer to protect DC's kids.

Thanks for your advocacy,

Meghan Kissell
