"On The Longest Day, I hike to honor my dad, Harvey. He was the
first person who took me out on the trail. When I lost him to
Alzheimer's, hiking helped me through my grief. Now it's
become my passion, so this year I'm hiking 100 miles for my dad.
Until there's a cure, we must keep raising funds and awareness
for Alzheimer's care, support and research."

Many people set goals to eat nutritious foods or become physically
active at the start of a new year. Healthful habits like a
heart-healthy diet and regular exercise aren't just for your
body - they support your brain, too. Growing evidence indicates
that you can reduce your risk of cognitive decline by adopting key
lifestyle habits

. When you raise funds for The Longest Day, you help drive our efforts
to advance research, including studies on preventing or slowing mental
decline.
