Hi team,
CNN: "Former Secretary of State Colin Powell said on Jan. 10 he is no longer a Republican following the deadly insurrection at the US Capitol incited by President Donald Trump and criticized the party for supporting his behavior.
"'They did, and that's why I can no longer call myself a fellow Republican. I'm not a fellow of anything right now. I'm just a citizen who has voted Republican, voted Democrat throughout my entire career.'"
Powell is just one of many Republicans leaving the fold, resigning from their positions, or otherwise distancing themselves from the GOP. You might even have people in your own life doing the same.
But hasn't the damage already been done? Are these demonstrations too little, too late? Or are they welcome acts, even at this midnight hour? That's why we're reaching out to you today. Tell us how you're feeling now:
Do you want to forgive and forget the insurrection at the Capitol?
