Biden's Choice For Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo Has Failed Rhode
Island's Business Owners
What Happened:
Joe Biden has tapped Democrat Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo to be
his Commerce Secretary - an interesting choice given the governor's
track record.
Why You Should Care:
The selection of Raimondo should raise the alarm for entrepreneurs and
business owners around the country - especially as the country grapples
with how to come back from COVID-19 shutdowns. Under her tenure, for
instance, Rhode Island has been named the Worst State in the Nation for
Business and Worst State to Start a Business.

Biden administration's goal will be to impose more control over
America's culture and economy
What Happened:
Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley wrote this week about what
Democratic control of Washington means for the rest of the country. The
progressive agenda has gotten more and more extreme, which spells
trouble for freedom-loving Americans.
Why You Should Care:
As Haley writes, "President-elect Joe Biden's administration is the
vehicle to advance this vision. The goal is to impose more control over
America's culture and economy."
What Happens Next:
Democrats will attempt to shove their agenda down our throats - seizing
more control of our lives and economy. Conservatives will have to find
ways to fight back.

'It's all fallen apart': Newsom scrambles to save California -
and his career
What Happened:
An effort to recall Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom is gaining steam in
California. The governor has struggled with his response to the COVID-19
pandemic, and voters are understandably fed up.
Why You Should Care:
If the pandemic has shown us anything, it's that our state and local
leaders matter. Failures to adequately address the crisis should have
consequences.
What Happens Next:
Recall organizers have until mid-March to gather the signatures they
need to hold a recall vote. In the meantime, Californians will continue
to struggle under Newsom's lack of leadership.
