TakeAction Minnesota Weekly Wrap

Dear John,

In the Sequel of 2020, we’ve made it to a new place: we are deeper into the underworld but can see an epically beautiful, hopeful, and exciting future on the horizon.

Through the grief of our country, we honor this paradox.

On the one hand, we know difficult weeks are ahead as we address the attacks on our country, and on us, and efforts to overthrow our democracy. The second impeachment is only the first step. Moving forward together requires consequences and accountability, particularly for complicit GOP officials who egregiously violated their oath of office. TakeAction is calling for every U.S. Rep. from Minnesota’s Congressional delegation to be removed or resign. Sign this petition to add your voice.

On the other side, we can see better days just looking at President-elect Biden’s COVID rescue package. And, as we celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. this weekend, we invite you to join our partners at The Frontline at 3 p.m. CT on Monday for a livestream of MLK’s historic Three Evils Speech.

Here’s what we’re reading, watching, and listening to this week:

I’m (LyLy) a big fan of Sara Nelson, international president of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA. Read on why we must organize or die.

10. Soul
