Run for Something
Hi John,

Before he was part of last week's failed coup, leader of the Hawaii Proud Boys, Nick Ochs, was a candidate for the state legislature.

He's not a member of the Hawaii state house because Run for Something candidate Adrian Tam defeated him.

We know Ochs is not alone. There are countless Trump Republicans and white supremacists seeking elected office down-ballot. They are the future Josh Hawleys and Mary Millers -- a freshman congresswoman who said, "Hitler was right about one thing" to a crowd in D.C. the morning of the coup.

The best way to stop them is at the grassroots level, before they gain a foothold in the halls of power.

That's where we come in, John. Run for Something is already recruiting the next wave of diverse, young progressives seeking to stop white supremacy from winning power. These young progressives need our help to win -- so please chip in whatever you can to help them build strong campaigns.

Michigan state Rep. Matt Maddock, Missouri state Rep. Justin Hill, Pennsylvania state Sen. Doug Mastriano, Tennessee state Rep. Terri Lynn Weaver, Virginia state Sen. Amanda Chase, and far too many other elected officials were identified at the Capitol coup attempt.

When Trump called for violence and fascism, they answered the call. Anyone who engages in violent attempts to overthrow the government should not be allowed to serve in that government. Period. The End.

We are committed to defeating every single state legislator and local elected official who was part of last week's coup and any of the insurrectionists who may run for office in the future.

We have the power to defeat them, all of them. It takes hard work, courage, and a ton of energy -- but we can do it, together. If you can, chip in $5 or more to help our candidates prevent these white supremacists and insurrectionists from winning power.
