Dear John,
With all that has happened over the past few weeks, one thing in particular has stood out to us here at Lillian's List: the courage that it takes for progressive women to serve in public office, especially in times like these.
We're grateful for the leadership of Congresswomen Alma Adams, Kathy Manning, and Deborah Ross, who were at the Capitol during last week's insurrection and are now demanding accountability.
And of course, we are thankful for the progressive women in the NCGA, who were sworn in yesterday to represent us despite ongoing threats from far-right extremists. These 31 women come from all across our state with different backgrounds but a common goal: to improve the lives of North Carolinians.
We want to give our members the chance to meet these amazing women at our upcoming virtual event, Coffee and Conversation with Legislators, on Friday, March 26 at 10am.
Sponsor or get your tickets today!
During the event, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and have personal conversations with legislators in small breakout groups. From what it's like to serve in the NCGA to tales from the campaign trail, we know they have plenty of stories to share!
Thank you for your ongoing support, and we hope you will join us in March.
In solidarity,
Team Lillian
