Do you hear that? For over four years, we’ve been unable to escape the lies, hate, threats, and tantrums that Trump bombarded us with daily via his twitter account. But now: The sweet sound of silence.

After the violent attack on the Capitol, Twitter banned Trump for life. Facebook shut him down indefinitely. Even the PGA joined in, stripping their 2022 championship from his beloved golf course. And now Democrats are doing their part to remove Trump from the public sphere by voting to impeach him today.

But the rot of Trumpism is deeper than Trump. Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Kevin McCarthy, and every GOP lawmaker who voted to overturn a legitimate election must be held accountable.

Trump and his thugs have blood on their hands. The United States Capitol was breached for the first time since 1812. Five people are dead, including a police officer. Let’s be clear — any Republican who rejects impeachment is complicit. Any Republican who rejects holding Trump responsible is okay with violence and murder. They’re okay with domestic terrorists ransacking the Capitol. They’re okay with destroying our democracy.
