Dear John,

We want to thank all of our members and supporters for their generous financial support for Ameinu throughout 2020 and especially during our end of year fundraising effort. Put simply, you came through in a big way. There is no better sign that you identify with our mission and appreciate the efforts that we all made together in the face of the pandemic. The funds we raised at the end of the year will kickstart our 2021 programming and advocacy….and we know that there is a lot to do.

On that note, last week we told you about a program we are co-sponsoring with our J-Link international progressive Jewish colleagues entitled “A Jewish-Arab Israeli Political Party in the Making?” on January 17. The panel features Arab and Jewish political activists who are all involved organizationally in developing true Arab-Jewish political partnerships. Some, like Avrum Burg, the former Speaker of the Knesset, and Yona Yahav, former Haifa Mayor, have been mainstream politicians. Others, like Rula Daood, Co-National Director of Standing Together, have been focused on grassroots activity.
