Regional energy markets are a key tool for integrating more clean and advanced energy resources into the Western grid, and an opportunity to expand markets for advanced energy technologies. With efforts to expand the full CAISO now stalled in the California legislature, stakeholders are actively exploring other options for achieving the benefits of broader regional markets.
