Dear Supporter,
From alleged Hatch Act violations to campaign finance infractions to even inciting a riot, Donald Trump is no stranger to being accused of criminal behavior and activity. Thanks to audio published by The Washington Post, Trump has another scandal to throw into the mix: pressuring Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, weeks after the election and multiple recounts, to “find” enough ballots to falsely declare Donald Trump the winner of his state. This isn’t only unacceptable behavior, it is potentially criminal.
Trump’s role in inciting the treasonous assault on our U.S. Capitol has made the need for him to be removed from office urgent. But he must also be held accountable for his own illegal efforts to overthrow the will of the American voters.
If we delay taking these necessary steps to open an investigation and charge Donald Trump, we will set the stage for another corrupt president or political leader to threaten our democracy again. No one is above the law, not even the President of the United States of America, and our country must comport itself as such by ensuring that the alleged criminal activities of Donald Trump will be immediately investigated.
We must not ignore Trump’s attempt to rig an election in his favor by pressuring Georgia’s Secretary of State nor his role in inciting a deadly riot on Capitol Hill. We must always support democracy and continuously fight against tyranny.
