Let me be frank with you. What happened yesterday was an affront to our Constitution and our democracy. Insurrectionists, incited by the president and GOP lawmakers — and apparently aided and abetted by law enforcement — attempted a coup d'etat in the nation's Capitol. This attempt failed. Joe Biden was still confirmed as our next president. And as an added victory lap, Jon Ossoff was declared the winner over David Perdue.

This seditious rebellion was a direct result of Black voters and minorities showing their power in the presidential election and in the U.S. Senate runoffs in Georgia. Time and time again, since the end of Jim Crow to Barack Obama becoming the first African-American president, the right-wing shows its true colors whenever it does not get its way. This is the behavior of spoiled children who don't know what it means to live in a world where they are the minority voice.

Rick Allen, Earl L. "Buddy" Carter, Andrew Clyde, Marjorie Taylor-Greene, Jody Hice, and Barry Loudermilk. These are the names of the Georgia representatives who were co-authors of the madness we witnessed as a response to their desire to overturn a lawfully-conducted election. Remember their names, because in 2022 we must defeat every single last one of them.

Georgia Blue Project is already getting our digital machine ready for that time. Our runoff efforts helped change the course of history, and we are more than ready and willing to hold these Trump seditionists accountable for their complicity in this sordid page in American history.
