Democrat Raphael Warnock has flipped his Senate seat blue in Georgia, and with Jon Ossoff leading David Perdue with most of the vote count finalized, we’ll soon be able to brand Trump’s favorite enabler-in chief with a new title: Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

But we can’t let our excitement get the better of us at this key moment. After all, if Republicans in the Senate are still dead set on stealing an election for Trump while losing their own elections in a so-called “safe” red state, we won’t count on them to take this defeat gracefully.

Over 70% of Republican voters in Georgia believe the election system is rigged against Republicans, according to AP Votecast. And let’s face it, friend, these elections were too close. We’re preparing for an onslaught of baseless voter fraud lawsuits crying foul on these legitimate election results fueled by record Democratic turnout -- especially since Ossoff and Perdue’s race falls within the threshold for a recount.

We can’t afford to let Republicans try their hand at stealing yet another election, not when control of the federal government is at stake. We’re on the cusp of a blue wave in Washington, but first we need to build the resources to ensure that these results are respected and that no amount of conspiracy-based electoral fraud propaganda delegitimizes the greatest grassroots victory in recent history.

You know that Republicans will do everything they can to sow doubt in these election results if it means they get another two years to run their legislative graveyard in the Senate.
