The Greenwood Initiative is an effort to increase intergenerational Black
wealth and address systemic underinvestment in Black communities. A major part
of tackling these issues is minimizing health disparities for Black Americans.
The data is clear: Black people have better health outcomes when treated by
Black doctors, and this gift will help increase the number of Black doctors in
America by helping to reduce the medical school debt burden for current,
eligible students at America's four Historically Black Medical Schools.
