According to Donald Trump Jr.’s advisors, “There is a critical role that must be played in both Georgia Senate runoffs: turning out the Trump vote.” And to accomplish that, the GOP has launched “an aggressive campaign in support of the two Republican candidates, focused on energizing and turning out Trump supporters.”

If Republicans win the Senate runoffs in Georgia, we won’t just see McConnell expand his legislative graveyard with bills covering everything from climate action to criminal justice reform to economic relief, but Republicans will also hold the power to block Biden’s Cabinet picks or any of his picks to the judiciary.

The Hill reports: “While Trump lost the presidential election in Georgia, the race was still razor thin. Biden won 49.51 percent of the state’s vote, while Trump won 49.25 percent.” The fact is that we know we can win in Georgia, but we will need a record turnout like the one we saw in November to do it again -- and right now we don’t have the funds we need to expand our voter outreach efforts.
