John -- this has been a HUGE quarter for our campaign. Here are some highlights:

JULY

• Gov. Haslam said he wouldn’t enter the race, making this a real pick-up opportunity for James.
• Trump launched Republican opponent Bill Hagerty's campaign in a tweet nearly two months before he'd even announce!

AUGUST

• The Tennessean ran an awesome op-ed calling James “the candidate our state needs.”
• Emmylou Harris performed at a benefit concert for James, telling a packed crowd that change would only come if we all work together to win this race.

SEPTEMBER

• Hagerty FINALLY announced his campaign himself with the support of Washington special interests.
• The national veterans organization VOTEVETS endorsed James, calling him a “tremendous pick for senator.”
• The next big FEC deadline is less than a week away on September 30th!

This race is really ramping up, and we can’t afford to slow down now.
