Louisianans over the age of 70 are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as this week.

** Vaccines are coming to New Orleans pharmacies this week

People 70+ can now make an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine at selected locations. New Orleans pharmacy locations include Carr Drugs #1 in Algiers, Crescent City Pharmacy downtown, Broad Avenue Pharmacy, Ochsner Pharmacy and Wellness Lake Terrace, St. Bernard Drugs LLC and Michoud Pharmacy in New Orleans East. Some local hospitals have vaccines available by appointment as well.

Others are eligible to be vaccinated at this time as well, including many healthcare workers and some individuals with pre-existing health conditions.
An appointment is needed to get vaccinated. Appointments can be made by contacting the individual pharmacies. More information can be found here. ([link removed])
