It’s official. As of yesterday, I am the Representative for New York’s 17th Congressional District in the 117th Congress.

This is a momentous, historic achievement for our movement, but there’s no time to waste. It’s time to get to work.

The American people still need economic relief. Mitch McConnell has continued to block sending $2,000 direct cash payments to struggling families. Millions of folks are still out of work and far too many are uninsured in the midst of a global pandemic.

Starting now, passing legislation to level the playing field and build our country back better than it was before is going to take 110% of my energy — and I can’t do it alone.
