Did you know that there is a special election this week on Tuesday, January 5th for Virginia’s 2nd District in the House of Delegates?

The district includes parts of Prince William and Stafford counties. If you’re registered there, please make sure to VOTE on January 5th.

Here’s why this special election is important: Virginians have worked so hard to flip the General Assembly blue, and Republicans are looking for every chance to take back our gains and roll back the meaningful progress we’ve made since the historic 2019 elections. Every vote in this special election is going to be critically important to protecting progress.

Candi King is the Democratic nominee for State Delegate in District 2. Candi is a parent advocate for children with special needs, and I know she has what it takes to push for important issues like paid family leave and funding for public schools. I couldn’t be prouder to support her -- I hope you’ll join me.

How to vote: Election Day is this coming Tuesday, January 5th, and you can vote at your usual polling location -- click here to find it. Polls will be open from 6:00 AM until 7:00 PM and as long as you’re in line by 7 PM, you will be able to vote. If you have any questions about voting, you can call the Virginia Democrats voter hotline at 844-4VA-VOTE.
