Recent U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission memos confirm that Walmart likely discriminated against 178 female workers by having paid them less or denied them promotions because of their gender. Walmart now has to settle the claims or else face possible EEOC lawsuits.

When women are paid less or denied promotions because of their gender, it doesn’t just hurt them, it also hurts their families and the local communities they serve.
