Friend --
Today is National Voter Registration Day!
We proudly join in today to make sure not
only our Higher Heights network is registered but to ask you to take a
moment today to reach out to your friends and family and arm them with
our Election Center resource to make sure their registration is up to
date as well.
Guess
what? Today is extra special because we are also relaunching
BLACKWOMENVOTE.COM!
As you know, #BlackWomenVote has been our
one stop shop for everything you need to make your voice heard on
Election Day. Now, it’s gotten a fresh new look that’s easier to use
and ready to take on 2020.

When #BlackWomenVote we don’t go to
the polls alone, we bring our house, our block, our church, our
sorority and our water cooler. And now is no different.
Don’t
wait for your states’ voter registration deadline. Check your
registration today and then use your influence to spread the word and
make sure your community of people are registered as
well.

We’ve proven what our collective
voting power as Black women can do and with as much that’s at stake we
must continue to go to the polls and organize our networks to ensure
we are electing leaders that will serve to represent
all of us.
Head
to the NEW BlackWomenVote.com and check your
registration!
Onward,
Glynda
P.S. In NYC next
Thursday, October 3? I’m
joining The Wing with Representative Lauren Underwood of Illinois’
14th district, the youngest Black woman to serve in Congress, as she
discusses her groundbreaking work so far, her path to public service,
passion for public health, and how she’s challenging the status quo in
Washington. She will be joined in conversation with esteemed writer
and Wing member Veronica Chambers. We have a few remaining spots left.
Please contact us at [email protected]
if interested in attending.
P.S.S. Higher Heights is partnering
with The Wing, a women-focused space for coworking and community, on a
new t-shirt for their fall merchandise collection. 20% of shirt sales
will directly support our work. Shop
