2020 is drawing to a close, and our donation match ends with it! We are running out of time to meet our $30,000 goal by December 31—and we need your help!
This goal is more than just a number, we need every dollar to make the greatest impact for our most vulnerable learners. Children like Marina.
Marina was born in Englewood, an under-resourced community on Chicago’s South Side. Her mother wanted the best start for her child and to have her develop a love of learning from an early age. And that’s when she found Educare Chicago, a program operated by Start Early. Marina began attending Educare Chicago at just 6 weeks old.
Since then, Marina became a student leader at Herzl Elementary School, where she graduated Valedictorian in 2017. Now a senior at Northside College Prep, Marina leads her peers as the president of the Yearbook Committee and vice-chairman of the Black Student Union. To this day, she continues to embrace her love of learning and looks forward to starting her journey to becoming a psychologist in the fall of 2021. |
Our programs like Educare Chicago are a critical piece of our work—directly providing infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their families with the best quality care and education. Our comprehensive programs incorporate what science says young children need to thrive and partners with parents to help them become champions for their children’s education.
