John,

I hope your holiday season has been filled with warmth and love. As we approach
the end of the year, I’m reaching out today with an update on the unimaginable
hardships refugees currently face — and how we can help.

Global layoffs from the pandemic have left thousands of refugees unable to
afford rent or food, forcing many families to just one or two meals each day.
Countless others cannot access health care due to their lack of legal status or
insurance. Some displaced individuals are even selling their valuables to buy
medicine.

Right now, HIAS is providing refugees with emergency assistance and advocating
in courts to help secure asylum rights, unemployment benefits, and other
essential services. And as we chart out our work in the new year, it’s critical
that we can count on having the resources we need to provide support for
refugees and asylum seekers around the world. John, we rely on people like you to sustain this vital mission,
so today, I’m asking for your help:

Will you make a year-end donation of $18 — anything you
can spare before midnight tonight — to support refugees and asylum seekers in
their quest for safety during this difficult time?

In 16 countries around the world, our teams are partnering with supermarkets to
supply food for clients in need, working to obtain health care for their
families, and providing emergency cash-based assistance to help refugees and
asylum seekers meet their basic needs. We’re also advocating for the rights of
displaced individuals and providing one-on-one counseling for survivors of
gender-based violence.

While we don’t know what may happen in the coming year, HIAS is fully committed
to supporting the refugees and asylum seekers who need us most. But this lifesaving work is only possible with your backing,
John.

Make a contribution of $18 or more today to provide
refugees and asylum seekers with critical support as they work to rebuild their
lives in the new year.

Thank you for stepping up to support all those seeking safety from violence and
persecution.

Sincerely,
