After more than 18 million coronavirus cases and 330,000 deaths, David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler failed us again. $600 per person is all they believe we need to support families and restart our economy. Even members of their own party knew the American people needed more, and more would have helped stabilize our economy. Perdue and Loeffler worked against members of their own party to deny working people the $1,200 in cash relief that passed on a bipartisan basis earlier this year.

This is why we must replace Perdue and Loeffler with Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock. Democrats must have control of the U.S. Senate and oust Mitch McConnell from his stranglehold grip on the policies that will help Americans and eliminate Coronavirus from our daily lives.

With Perdue and Loeffler selling us out, Congress agreed to a pared-down $900 billion deal that forfeited crucial protections for unemployed Georgians at a moment when millions are toeing the edge of a financial cliff that's arriving today — the day after Christmas.

Families are behind on rent and mortgage payments, their jobless benefits are being exhausted, and this deal isn't enough to keep hundreds of thousands of people from economic disaster as unemployment insurance runs out today.
