Eugene Scalia should never serve as Secretary of Labor. That's plain as day.
Friend,
Eugene Scalia should never serve as Secretary of Labor. That’s plain as day.
Senate Republicans know that, which is why they’re shoving his nomination through before the American people wise up to their charade.
The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee is scheduled to vote on Scalia’s nomination TOMORROW, so time is running out!
Scalia had his confirmation hearing before the Senate HELP Committee last Thursday and the only thing his hearing told us was what we already knew:
Labor Secretary Eugene Scalia would be an unmitigated disaster for America’s workers.
Just take a look at his track record:
-
“Eugene Scalia Once Represented a Big Bank in a Sexual Harassment Case. It Got Ugly.” -- The American Prospect
-
“Ford Turned to Trump Labor Pick Scalia to Fight [Sexual] Harassment Suits” -- Bloomberg Law
-
“An ex-lobbyist is Trump’s pick for labor secretary. Democrats found anti-gay op-eds he wrote in college.” -- The Washington Post
-
“Fiery old writings in a new era of #MeToo: In 1998, Eugene Scalia criticized ‘quid pro quo’ laws designed to hold bad bosses accountable” -- Politico
-
“Eugene Scalia, Trump’s Labor nominee, earned millions while working for big business, disclosure shows” -- CNBC
Shall we continue? It’s obvious that Eugene Scalia has spent his entire career fighting for big corporations against working folks.
Will you sign our URGENT petition calling on the Senate HELP Committee to vote down Eugene Scalia’s nomination?
