Hello there,

Early voting is underway in Georgia for what are arguably the highest stakes Senate runoffs of our lifetimes -- and we don't have much time to make a difference.

As Democratic Senate candidate Jon Ossoff put it, “if Mitch McConnell keeps control of the U.S. Senate, he will try to do exactly to Joe and Kamala like he did to President Obama. We can’t afford paralysis in the midst of a crisis like this.”

Ossoff is right. If McConnell, a self-proclaimed Senate Grim Reaper, keeps his hold on the Senate, he’ll continue to block progressive priorities like raising the minimum wage, protecting voting rights, and expanding health care access until at least 2022.

That is, unless we each do our part right now, before this election, to ensure that Democrats win come January 5.

And we can, friend. Georgia is already breaking records for early voting, and recent polls from FiveThirtyEight indicate that both races could come down to a handful of votes.

But the GOP is outspending Democrats in Georgia to turn out the vote. And as Republicans in the state put it, it seems that “nationally, Democrats aren’t nearly as motivated about this race as Republicans are.” That’s because too many Democrats aren’t aware of the stakes, or how close we are to victory. And as a consequence, grassroots organizations like ours are running low on the resources we need to do our work.

We can’t thank you enough for staying engaged past the November election.

It would have once been impossible to think of flipping the Senate in a Republican-controlled state like Georgia, but because of dedicated Democrats like you and the immense grassroots support we’ve received, that possibility is closer than ever.

The work continues,
