Second Stimulus Package:

Late last, night Congress reached an agreement on a $900 billion pandemic relief bill. Both chambers are expected to vote today and will send the bill to the President's desk for final approval. If this new bill passes, it will include:

• Direct stimulus payments of $600 
  • Qualified families will receive an additional $600 per child
• Unemployed individuals will receive $300 weekly for 11 weeks 
• Reinstate the Paycheck Protection Program for small businesses
  • Designates $12 billion for small businesses and $15 billion for live venues and cultural institutions, nonprofits, local newspapers, TV, and radio broadcasters.
• Provide $82 billion in funding for schools and child care 
• Rental Assistance
• Raise nutrition assistance: SNAP benefits by 15% for six months 
• $20 billion for the purchase of vaccines

Nikki Haley Lands In Georgia:

Over the weekend, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley flew to Georgia to campaign for Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, where she talked about their record of fighting for hardworking Georgians. 16 days remain to vote in the January 5th runoff elections.
