POLITICO: “The Pentagon named eight new members to the Defense Policy Board on Monday, including Trump loyalist and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, less than a month after purging many of the group’s influential members.”

Yeah, that New Gingrich. Or, as The Atlantic once described, “The man who broke politics” and “turned partisan battles into bloodsport, wrecked Congress, and paved the way for Trump’s rise.”

Trump’s desperate attempts to pack the government with his most devoted servants in these last few weeks of his presidency would be laughable -- if they weren’t so dangerous.

 

Listen -- you know that just because Joe Biden overwhelmingly won the presidency on November 5 doesn’t mean the rest will be smooth sailing. Right now, Donald Trump is blatantly trying to sabotage Biden’s first 100 days by filling the government with his loyalists, whose only aims are to wreak havoc on any Democratic initiative. Please, give now to support Democrats in the face of such blatant GOP cronyism as we fight to recover from the most disastrous presidency our country has seen in the modern era.
