Hi Democrat,

Kelly Loeffler, a GOP senator who is locked in a runoff that could determine control of the Senate, proudly posed and smiled with a KKK member and neo-Nazi at a recent campaign event.

We know you’re alarmed -- or we hope you are -- that a sitting senator would pose next to a known white supremacist. But we at When Democrats Turn Out also have to ask: Why does a former Klansman see his values upheld by a GOP candidate?

Loeffler’s team has been quick to claim Loeffler had “no idea” who she was posing next to, but here are the facts: This same white supremacist made national news for posing with fellow GOP Georgia Rep-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene in the 2020 cycle, and Loeffler had previously attended an event he had been escorted from.

Not only is Loeffler a fervent Trump loyalist and proudly appealing to white supremacists, she has also consistently attacked her opponent, Democrat Raphael Warnock, for addressing systemic racism and inequality, branding him as “Radical Raphael.”

Loeffler and Warnock represent two very different visions for the future of our country and Georgia -- and the outcome of their runoff in January could determine whether or not Mitch McConnell will keep an iron grip on the Senate.

We need your help to ensure McConnell doesn’t get to do that. Democrats already flipped Georgia blue once, and the polls show Warnock narrowly leading Loeffler -- but this race will come down to a handful of votes, and we need to expand our budget to expand our voter outreach.

 

Listen, you know the way we build back after four years of Trump is NOT by letting yet another racist Republican creep their way to power -- especially when that Republican would give Mitch McConnell control of the Senate and a free pass to block Biden’s legislative agenda. Please, will you pitch in $10, $25, or anything you can today to support Raphael Warnock’s race, turn out Democratic voters in Georgia, and ensure Democrats take back the Senate in January?
