The Electoral College cast their ballots in the 2020 election.
Joe Biden is officially president-elect of the United States of
America.

The Electoral College vote is usually just a simple formality.
But this year, Donald Trump's refusal to accept his loss and the
Republican's subsequent insistence on fueling Trump's ego has
made these last few weeks a high-stakes fight to the finish.

Over 120 House Republicans signed on to an amicus brief filed
with the Supreme Court demanding that votes be thrown out and the
election results overturned. Republican-held state legislatures
sued and schemed to disenfranchise their citizens.

None of their tricks worked - but that doesn't mean the GOP's
path to destroying our democratic processes wasn't deeply harmful
to our institutions.

This is a problem that won't end with Donald Trump walking out
of the White House, folks. A majority of
Republicans engaged in a direct attack against our democracy.
Will you chip in to help fight back and protect the will of the
American voters?

Republicans have been attacking our democracy for years through
gerrymandering, letting wealthy special interests control their
agenda, and restricting voting rights. A whole-scale refusal to
accept the results of an election won by Democrats is just the
latest in their anti-democracy agenda.

But with the COVID-19 pandemic raging and much-needed relief
being held up by Senate Republicans, their obstinance has never
had more severe consequences on American lives and livelihoods.
We should have moved on from the election week ago and focused on
the issues that matter for everyday Americans.

We cannot let up in this fight and let Republicans trample over
our democracy at the expense of the American people. Will you
chip in to help me fight back against voter suppression in all
its forms?

Thank you - only 34 days until Inauguration Day!
