Dear John,

We know you must be busy in the run-up to Christmas, but we wanted to share some alternative ways you can help us raise money as we support communities coming together for mental health, without even dipping into your pockets:

  1. No office Christmas party this year? You could become a 'Xmas Party Hero' by asking your employer to donate the budget they'd usually spend on a party to Health Poverty Action's mental health appeal.

2. The Easy Fundraising website application raises money at no cost to you while you do your Christmas shop online. Participating retailers include holiday favourites, from John Lewis and ASOS to M&S and Argos. Just select Health Poverty Action as your chosen charity and it'll do the rest!

3. Host a curry night on Zoom with our partner charity, Find Your Feet, and ask friends and family to donate what they would have spent on a meal out towards our mental health appeal instead.

Any support can help make a real difference to communities' mental health. For example, the cost of each £20 staff Christmas meal would be enough to pay for a training manual on mental health for a rural nurse in Zimbabwe – training we know changes lives for the better.

Best wishes,

Sarah Cowen-Rivers, Communications Manager
