Dear Friends,

When I began as Council Member, my primary focus from day one was to put
our forgotten communities back on the map. We have done just that by
working together with our fellow elected officials, schools, nonprofits,
civic and cultural associations. For too long, Northeast Queens had faced
stagnant funding, lack of resources, under-served communities and an
overall disconnect from city agencies. Now it is time to look beyond the
successes obtained for our district and look toward the future of our great
Borough.

The Vallone family has had the honor of serving for over 45 years in our
New York City Council. The priorities of the entire community were
protected and preserved with truth, honesty and leadership. All too often,
it seems today’s politics are sliding away from these virtues, seeking
instead self-preservation and division. Queens faces many challenges as we
enter a new decade and we are presented with the upcoming special election
for Queens Borough President. As we prepare for this transition, I am
looking for your help and voice to stand together for a united Queens. Now
is the time for leadership that protects and guides, not divides.

Public service has been an integral part of my family for generations and I
am proud to carry on that tradition as we expand our vision and build upon
our accomplishments. I am asking for your help as we prepare our campaign
for Queens Borough President. [1]Please follow this link to donate critical
