The COVID-19 pandemic is getting worse — not better.

COVID-19 cases are rising, hospitals are running out of beds, small businesses are struggling to keep their doors open, and families are going hungry.

All the while, Washington Republicans have stalled progress and left vulnerable Americans to fend for themselves.

Families and small businesses cannot wait any longer for the relief they deserve. It’s time Congress end the partisan games and get to work delivering for the American people.

I know how difficult this time is for so many people.

Not being able to see our loved ones during the holidays, folks wondering how they’ll put food on the table after losing their jobs, parents struggling to get back to work while balancing remote learning for their kids.

It’s overwhelming. The American people deserve a government who will fight to stop the spread of this virus, provide much-needed relief, and act as a guiding force to get us through the worst.

But some Republican politicians are only concerned with lining their own pockets during this crisis. Rather than helping unemployed workers make ends meet, funding schools and local services, and providing hospitals with protective equipment, they’re sitting on their hands.

Enough. America is at a critical turning point, folks. We must do everything we can to get this virus under control.
