Not only are these the ingredients of a dignified life, but these are also the tools to break the cycle of poverty, to grow our economy, to end inequality, and to make our city stronger and more resilient.

Over half of the NYC Council Members will be term-limited in 2021, including all five LGBTQ members. LGBTQ New Yorkers risk losing representation. But, we also have an opportunity to gain representation that we’ve never had before through our campaign.
I will fight for social, racial, and economic justice. I'm pushing for a Public-Option for Employment, Affordable Housing, and for fully-funded Public Schools.
Everything I have been through in life has prepared me for this moment. My personal struggle - going through economic hardship, discrimination, and being a life-long working-class New Yorker ensures that I understand first hand the inequities the city faces.
More importantly, I'm not afraid to push bold ideas that will help the city recover from the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.
