As my candidacy for Manhattan Borough President [[link removed]] gains traction, I have found that every day is a new adventure in the world of New York City politics.



One of the most interesting parts of my race is something many candidates dream about--the 8:1 matching funds program that matches every $1 raised from New York City residents with $8 of public funding, which means every $100 I raise from a New York City resident becomes $900 when the funds are matched. This public funding option means every dollar counts, and I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have gained the support of so many in such a short amount of time.
