The Cards-Clydesdales connection

The Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales have become synonymous with St. Louis Cardinals baseball because of their decades-long Opening Day tradition. Where does the tradition come from? In April 1933, the horse-drawn beer wagon carried the first case of post-Prohibition beer down the streets of St. Louis. Two decades later, Anheuser-Busch purchased the Cardinals, and eventually the Clydesdales made it onto the diamond for Opening Day. Check out the full history here.

Molson Coors increases seltzer production capacity

Molson Coors has increased its seltzer production capacity by 400%. The move reflects the ongoing popularity of hard seltzers, as sales of the company's array of hard seltzer products continue to soar across the U.S. "These investments will allow us to keep up with demand as we work to aggressively grow our above premium portfolio and prepare for additional product launches that the revamped Forth Worth and Milwaukee breweries are able to handle," said Chief Supply Chain Officer Brian Erhardt.

Biden calls for grants to support restaurant industry

President-elect Joe Biden expressed his support for funding grants, rather than loans, to support restaurants that have been devasted by the COVID-19 pandemic. "Small business is the economic engine of the country. And restaurants are a major part of that small business," said Biden.
