Dear John,
I’m sure that you’re thinking about how you can jazz up your holiday menu a bit (because....oof, what a year) and we have just the thing! You are cordially invited to join Power Shift Network on Saturday, December 12th at 5p ET/2p PT as we host a celebrity cooking lesson with Chef Ashley Jonique (aka @LetDatGirlCook on Instagram) who will be presenting a vegan jambalaya stuffed portobello mushroom and a very unique and delicious dessert. You'll also receive a free recipe and a small, custom made gift from Chef Ashley after the event as a token of our gratitude.

Chef Ashley Jonique is a New Orleans-based celebrity chef who has years of experience catering private and special events around the country for stars such as Kendrick Lamar, Nipsey Hussle, Andy Tennant, Missy Elliot, and Niecy Nash among many others - she has truly become a chef for the stars. Ashley has also been featured on the Food Network and Thrillist and is the author of Bone Appetit, a digital cookbook.
Tickets for this PSN Fundraiser are $50/each and can be purchased on PSN’s website. You will receive information on how to join the cooking lesson, the recipe, and ingredients list prior to the event in case you’d like to cook alongside Chef Ashley.
As you know, PSN is hosting Power Shift 2021 (PS21) in New Orleans, where we plan to train, educate, connect, and invest in the skill-building of youth climate and social justice organizers. One of the most important aspects of PS21 to highlight is that New Orleans is the home of the country’s most vibrant music, art, history, and cuisine that cannot be found anywhere else and it is being devastated by the affects of the climate crisis and the petrochemical industry that is poisoning its people, water, and land. Organizers in New Orleans and youth across the country are in the fight for their lives and it is important that we center them as we make our way to a powerful movement moment at Power Shift 2021.
It is through this celebration of New Orleans cuisine and culture that we invite you to join us to ensure that we can provide transformative programming and training to our youth climate leaders and lift up the organizing work and culture of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday and invite you to share this event with other folks who love organizing and eating great food. the more the merrier!
Warmest Wishes,
Nadya Dutchin
