Friend,

Earlier this year, Al Jazeera spotlighted our Flatbush chapter leader Dawn. She was laid off at the beginning of the pandemic, and she hasn’t been able to pay rent ever since. On top of that, she wasn’t able to receive the state’s unemployment insurance money to do her immigration status.

This is the reality for many in our communities. While this pandemic has opened up so many people to organizing opportunities, it isn't easy to sustain that energy when many are financially unable.

Give what you can today to support neighborhood-based organizing.

Our members like Dawn are closest to the problems that this pandemic has exacerbated, and therefore are also the closest to the solutions. And every day we are organizing, and building power together to win the conditions necessary for our communities to thrive.

We have a $40,000 shortage in our annual membership dues, but with your help we can raise that and more. If everyone gave $2, we would exceed our goal of $40,000. Click here to donate today!

It’s an honor to be in this movement with you.

In solidarity,

Jonathan Westin
