US added 245,000 jobs in November

The U.S. economy added 245,000 jobs in November -- 224,000 fewer than economists had expected and a massive slowdown from the 610,000 jobs added in October. Recovery has slowed so much that experts say it could take another 40 months for the job market to fully recover from the pandemic. States impose curfews as COVID-19 cases soar

As the U.S. braces for winter, COVID-19 remains rampant across the country. Governors in several states are imposing curfews, a strategy embraced by restaurant and bar owners who see it as a positive alternative to total indoor dining shutdowns. Epidemiologists have mixed reviews: "It's a half measure and maybe less than a half measure, but that's better than no measure at all," said Raymond Niaura from the New York University School of Global Health.
