I have an important update, John: Last night, we came
up just $4,374 short of our $100,000 Giving Tuesday goal to support those
seeking safety from violence and persecution.

Since we were so close to reaching our goal, we’re extending our deadline to
give you one more chance to make a difference for refugees and asylum seekers in their most critical
moments of need. And if everyone reading this message pitched in just
$18, we’d make up this fundraising gap.

So please, will you make your first gift of $18 or more
right now to provide essential support to refugees and asylum seekers in their
quest for safety?

Hitting this goal couldn’t be more important as HIAS continues to support
refugees and asylum seekers facing unprecedented hardships during the pandemic.
Last year at this time, I wrote, “We don’t know exactly what challenges refugees
and asylum seekers will face in 2020, but we know that HIAS’ work will be as
vital as always.” I never could have known just how true my words would turn out
to be. And with the future still unknown, it’s absolutely critical that we stand
prepared to defend refugees and asylum seekers in the coming year.

While the future is uncertain, one thing remains constant: HIAS will always be
there – must always be there – to fight for all displaced people seeking safety around the
world. But our work is only possible because of your backing. That’s why I have
to ask:

With our goal so close, your gift could be the one that puts us over the top.
Please, don’t miss your last chance to support refugees in need on this crucial
day of giving:

John, will you make a gift of $18
or more to help HIAS support refugees and asylum seekers as they fight for the
opportunity to build new lives in safety?

Thank you so much for supporting refugees and asylum seekers today. Your
contribution truly makes a difference in the lives of those we serve.
