As we reach the last month of the year, we start looking towards next year and the future of KCYD. Unlike some of the other Democratic organizations, the term of KCYD Board members last only 1 year. This allows for greater flexibility for us young folk for whom lives are less predictable and less stable, but it also means that we reorganize every year, rather than every two years.

What is reorganization?
Reorganization is the meeting where members elect the leadership of the organization for the next year. As per the change in our bylaws ([link removed]) , this year we will be holding our reorganization online, and the election will happen virtually, rather than at an in-person meeting.

Who can vote in the KCYD reorg?
In order to be a voting member of KCYD, you must be a resident of King County and be under the age of 36. You will also need to either have paid your dues or had your dues waived. To waive your dues, please contact [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) .

* Read this handy-dandy guide ([link removed]) on what being a board member means and what each role might entail.

If you have any questions what-so-ever, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Chair, Matt Kanter, or simply reply to this email.

It has been a pleasure serving you this year!
