Andrews Distributing announces partnership with Texas Ale Project

Andrews Distributing Company announced a partnership with the Texas Ale Project, out of Dallas, to distribute their portfolio of beers. The Andrews team will begin selling Texas Ale Project brands on Dec. 30. David Holt, executive vice president of marketing for Andrews, said, “We are committed to acquiring the right brands to build a portfolio that adds value for our customers. To do so, we are committed to investing in local brewers that are connecting with Texas beer lovers."

Grocery gets a Black Friday Boost

On Black Friday, online grocery sales were up 397% over daily averages for October. Retailers highlighted options such as BOPIS (buy online, pick up in store) and curbside pickup for their COVID-19-concerned consumers. Overall, online sales for U.S. retailers reached a record $9 billion on Black Friday, more than 21% higher than 2019.

Bang Energy files lawsuit against PepsiCo

Jack Owoc, CEO of Vital Pharmaceuticals/Bang Energy announced that Bang Energy is suing PepsiCo for allegedly failing to meet the terms of their exclusive distribution agreement and for unlawful business practices. Amazon sees biggest holiday shopping period ever

Cyber Monday just ended, and already Amazon is reporting that the 2020 holiday shopping season is the biggest in its history. While brick-and-mortar retailers continue to struggle due to COVID-19 restrictions, Amazon is one of the beneficiaries of a shift to online shopping. According to Wall Street firm Truist Securities, Amazon is projected to claim 42 cents of every dollar spend during the holiday shopping season.
