Liberty’s legal advice service is a lifeline for anyone unable to find or afford a lawyer, anyone trying to exercise their fundamental right to protest, and anyone confused by ever-changing laws and regulations. 

It is vital everyone can protect their rights. And now for one week only, any donation you’re able to make towards our Advice and Information service through TheBigGive.org.uk will be doubled at no extra cost to you.

This year our legal advisors have already responded to more than 1,300  individual requests for help. The team’s online coronavirus hub has been accessed more than 120,000  times so far. And we have distributed 24,000 information cards to protesters, so they know their rights during the pandemic.

And with a year of uncertainty ahead as the Government tries to water down our rights, effectively ban protest and dodge accountability for its actions, it’s never been more important that we are all able to stand up to power.
