NRDC Action Fund Activist,
Greta Thunberg didn't know what would happen a year ago when she began her solitary school strike outside the Parliament building in her hometown of Stockholm, Sweden.
She didn't know if anyone would join her. She just knew she had to do something to call out global inaction on climate change.
This Friday, September 20, millions of people across the world will join her and go on strike — together we'll demand urgent action to stop the climate crisis and push for solutions that will cut dangerous carbon pollution and move us to a 100% clean energy future.
We're with Greta.
Join this global climate strike movement on Friday, September 20, to demand climate action. Find your closest strike and RSVP now.
This is our new normal: heat waves scorching Europe ... wildfires ravaging the Amazon rainforest ... and hurricanes devastating entire communities. Unless we follow youth leaders and take drastic measures now, present and future generations will bear the brunt of our inaction. Now is the time to stand up for climate action.
A powerful, youth-led movement has been sounding the alarm by going on strike — every week, all over the world — for months. Now, they're calling on us to join them.
Walk out with us on Friday, September 20. Hundreds of strike events are already scheduled, so find your closest one and RSVP now!
Stopping the climate crisis won't be easy, but it is our only choice. I hope you'll join us on strike next Friday.
Onward,

Kevin S. Curtis
