First: Georgia’s GOP has always been good at one thing — playing dirty. Their voter suppression tactics — including poll taxes, strict photo ID laws, and voter purges — tightened their grip on power for decades.

Then: Stacey Abrams’ grassroots movement rattled the rigged system to its core after launching organizations like Fair Fight that took on voter suppression, mobilized Black and Brown communities, and flipped Georgia Blue.
