Dear Friend,
In the wake of the 2020 election, there have been no credible claims of widespread voter fraud. But still, disinformation about the election results has been absolutely rampant. Based on one recent estimate ([link removed]) , YouTube videos with electoral disinformation were viewed 137 million times in the week following the election.
Our democracy simply cannot work if we allow such widespread online political deception to flourish. That’s why we’re pushing back on social media companies that are allowing deceptive content to take over their websites, and we need your help.
Click here to demand online platforms like Facebook and Twitter end the spread of dangerous election disinformation immediately. ([link removed])
Ultimately, we need the next Congress and the Biden administration to enact strong policy and regulatory solutions to promote an online ecosystem based on shared facts where democracy can thrive. We must demand that social media and technology companies do more to limit the spread of harmful, deceptive content that erodes faith in our democracy.
