John, this election was one of the most historic elections our nation has ever witnessed. Record numbers of young people, newly registered voters, and folks from all walks of life turned up to the polls to make their voices heard.

Together, we elected Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House by the popular and electoral vote! But Donald Trump refuses to accept defeat.

Trump will not concede and is filing lawsuits to contest the election results in yet another attempt to make a mockery out of our democracy.

His desperation to hold on to the presidency is effectively delaying the transition between the two administrations and blocking access to critical funds the Biden-Harris administration needs to begin tackling issues like COVID-19 the way the Trump administration failed to do.

We cannot let this go on any longer. Not when more lives are at risk.
