John, I'm excited to share the latest from CRC with you:

  • How much do foreign governments influence U.S. nonprofits?
In October, the State Department expressed concern over foreign funding in the U.S. nonprofit world and called for "the academic community, think tanks,” and other institutions to disclose funding from foreign governments. The Department of Education later reported that universities and academic institutions had failed to report an amazing $6.5 billion in foreign funding. CRC's Sarah Lee looks at the challenge of balancing donor privacy and national security threats here.
  • What would you ask Dinesh D'Souza?
I recently interviewed Dinesh D'Souza about his movies, his critics, and the false narratives of the Left. Along the way we discussed the ideological legacy of Fascism and Nazism and the Left's false narratives about them. We also discussed our mutual friend Christopher Hitchens and what it was like to debate against him. Read the entire interview here.
  • If Sen. Whitehouse sees no "dark money" on the left, is it really there?
Demand Justice, one of the groups funded through the Arabella "dark money" network, recently spent millions to savage Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett. This fact exposes just how dishonest Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse's rants against right-wing "dark money" and "court capture" were during the confirmation battle. CRC's Hayden Ludwig dissects the senator's hypocrisy here.
  • Who wants to control your investments and raise your energy costs?
A new campaign called BankFWD seeks to use the "collective wealth and public standing" of its members to pressure major banks to phase out financing for oil and gas companies. BankFWD's three co-founders, all Rockefeller family members, are targeting JPMorgan Chase using the family's long-standing relationship. CRC's Robert Stilson explores the implications of this latest attempt to subvert the banking and energy sectors here.

Decoding Antifa

In this episode, "Keep Portland Weird" is a common slogan often heard in Oregon's largest city. But the rest of the country would prefer one weirdness stay in Portland; namely, Antifa, the radical-left extremists who have spent most of the summer and fall rioting there. But what is Antifa? Is it an idea, an ideology, or a conventional activist group? Joining us to answer this question Mark Hemingway, a third-generation Oregonian who conducted an in-depth analysis of Antifa for RealClear Investigations.
